Born with a strong physique and great technique, Giacomo Cipriani is a classic center forward who is able to dominate his position with independence. Born and bred in Bologna, Giacomo has returned as a focal point on his home team, after spending the rest of the year split between Sampdoria in the Serie A and Piacenza in the Serie B, and where he was able to make a total of five goals over the course of 38 matches.

Last year was of fundamental importance for him in terms of re-gaining his self-confidence on the playing field after spending two seasons plagued with physical ailments. His first appearance in the Serie A was with Bolognese in 2000. This year, he is currently Bolognese's best scorer, with three goals during the championship and two in the Italian Cup.
